Kathleen will be moderating this series with the purpose of reaching the wider community through a continuing education and civic engagement lens. Her goal is to cover a broad range of subjects including social justice, equity, mental health, First Nations, environment, women, , art, culture and Canadian history.
We have planned for monthly lectures, taking place mostly on the last Wednesday of the month.

Professor Poole is a social scientist with a PhD from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. She is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Ryerson and Adjunct Faculty at a number of universities across Canada. She is a committed practitioner to equity and human rights and interested in critical approaches to mental health and madness, critical theory, critical qualitative research and pedagogy, grief and death.
